Laminated Glass and Sandblasting

Laminated glass is made by covering a glass body with single-color or multi-colored glass layers. Various patterns can be created by scraping off the surface of the laminated glass with various methods, such as cutting, glass engraving, etching, etc. Sandblasting is one type of etching, and is used to create patterns by blasting very fine powdered carborundum onto the surface of the laminated glass. Masking is used to create patterns.
